Arbutus Ridge - Golf Course and Active Adults

Welcome to Arbutus Ridge Active Adult Retirement Community

Victoria, BC

Arbutus Ridge is a retirement community for active adults over 50 years of age where residents are well acquainted with one another and have access to a wide variety of activities, social events, and workshops. Located on the east side of British Columbia's Vancouver Island, our community enjoys a temperate climate with mild winters and long growing seasons. Nestled in the Cowichan Valley with its many vineyards and wineries, residents can pursue a healthy, active lifestyle while having convenient access to the amenities of Mill Bay, Victoria, Duncan, and Nanaimo. The city of Vancouver is a simple ferry ride away.

Arbutus Ridge boasts a wide variety of comfortable, secure housing options for its residents, as well as a number of community facilities to be enjoyed by all.

A key attraction of our development is the security provided by a gated community design and our “24/7/365” security staff.

Golf, tennis, and boating are among the most popular recreational activities at “The Ridge”. Residents can participate in a wide variety of clubs, ranging from crafts, bingo, and billiards to woodworking, pottery, swimming, and the ever-popular wine club. Social opportunities abound, through both the clubs and the numerous community events available throughout the year.

Management of Arbutus Ridge is similar to that of a small municipality, with an elected Strata Council setting policy for a professional administrative staff.

A high quality water supply is drawn from on-site wells, which tap into a substantial subsurface aquifer. Sewage treatment is carried out on-site. Fire protection is provided by a volunteer fire department with equipment located less than 5 kilometers from the community.

These features, combined with the outstanding recreational opportunities across Vancouver Island, can make Arbutus Ridge your attractive residence and lifestyle choice!
