Secured their retirement dream in Arbutus Ridge by investing in a waterfront lot.

We came out to Vancouver Island from Calgary to help our son get moved into residence at University of Victoria. Friends suggested that if we had a free afternoon, “we might like to take a 40 minute scenic drive up island to check out Arbutus Ridge; a community they had discovered and were planning to move to.

Innocently we took the drive. We immediately fell in love with Vancouver Island and the life style it promised.Then we drove through the gates into Arbutus Ridge.The gated adult community our friends had recommended, was so unique and special, we were lost for words. The views, the golf course, marina, home styles and the price points just took us totally by surprise. We couldn’t believe that we could actually afford to live in a place like this, with world-class water views.

We spontaneously purchased a waterfront lot that weekend as an investment for the future. We didn’t want to take any chances that when we were ready to retire in a few years, that a home might not be available. We proceeded to do further research prior to developing building plans. We investigated waterfront property from Ontario to B.C. and afterwards, we were firmly convinced that Arbutus Ridge offered the most unique features and services, the best views and the most value that we could ever find.    

We moved to Arbutus Ridge we didn’t know a soul. Today we have lots of new friends from across Canada and around the world; some of which are the finest people we have ever met in our lives.

On days when we wake up to the sun shining on the water, fresh air breezes and the new relaxed life we have come to enjoy, we are reminded that paradise really does exist!

What a great way to spend the next chapter of our lives!
